Shubman Gill’s brilliant knock and Rashid Khan’s four-wicket spell powered Gujarat Titans to their fourth consecutive win in Indian Premier League 2026 as they crushed Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs in Jaipur. With the massive victory, GT climbed to the second spot in the points table.
For Rajasthan Royals, it turned out to be a dismal outing at their home venue as both their bowling and batting departments failed to deliver under pressure.

Jofra Archer’s nightmare start hurts RR badly
After winning the toss in the absence of Riyan Parag, Rajasthan Royals skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal decided to bowl first. However, the decision went horribly wrong for the hosts right from the opening over.
Jofra Archer bowled a chaotic 11-ball first over which was marked by wides, no-balls and several extras. Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill made full use of the poor bowling and got off to a flying start alongside Sai Sudharsan.
The opening duo added a quick 118-run partnership and completely dominated the RR bowling attack during the powerplay and middle overs.
Shubman Gill shines as GT post massive total
Shubman Gill once again continued his sensational form with the bat as the GT skipper smashed 84 runs off 44 deliveries. He was well supported by Sai Sudharsan, who scored a composed 55 off 36 balls.
Later in the innings, Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia played explosive cameos to take Gujarat Titans past the 220-run mark. GT eventually posted a huge total of 229/4 in 20 overs.
In the bowling department for RR, it was a horrible outing overall. Brijesh Sharma picked up two wickets while Yash Raj Punja and Ravindra Jadeja managed one wicket each. However, the bowling unit failed badly to control the flow of runs and leaked heavily throughout the innings.
Rajasthan Royals crumble under pressure in chase
Coming out to chase the massive target, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again provided a quick start but failed to convert it into a big innings. The young left-hander smashed 36 runs off just 16 deliveries before getting dismissed.
Meanwhile, skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal departed cheaply for just three runs and the collapse continued further in the batting order. Batters got starts but failed to convert them into substantial scores. Dhruv Jurel played a quick knock of 24 while Ravindra Jadeja fought hard with 38 runs, but the innings lacked momentum and consistency.
The RR batting lineup eventually crumbled under pressure and got bowled out for just 152 runs in 16.3 overs.
Rashid Khan, Jason Holder headline GT bowling masterclass
For Gujarat Titans, it was a complete bowling masterclass as the bowlers kept striking regularly and never allowed RR to settle in the chase. Rashid Khan bowled brilliantly and picked up four wickets with his variations and control.
Jason Holder finished the tail brilliantly and ended with three wickets, while Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two and one wicket respectively.
It turned out to be another clinical performance from Gujarat Titans as the former champions continue marching strongly towards the playoffs with momentum firmly on their side.
