Sundar showcased a new and aggressive batting style at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on 06 April 2025. He was promoted to No. 4 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the Gujarat Titans and smashed a blistering 49 off just 29 balls. The team was in a lot of trouble at just 16 runs with two wickets down, but Sundar and captain Shubman Gill put together a valuable 90-run partnership that saved the team from that dangerous situation.  

SRH vs RR, 2022

Sundar smashed 40 runs off just 14 balls against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (MCA Stadium) in Pune on March 29, 2022. During this aggressive innings, he hit five fours and two towering sixes at a strike rate of 285.71. Although SRH lost the match, Sundar's fiery innings made it clear that he is fully prepared to play the role of an explosive finisher in the future.

402 runs were scored in that historic IPL 2020 match between RCB and MI, but Washington Sundar was the only bowler to bowl a spell without a boundary.
