Karrion Kross has earned fame among the fans lately, and he has also started to gain screen time. Things have not been very easy for him since his return to the promotion in 2022. WWE tried to utilise him in various ways, but somehow, everything kept failing.
During his first stint in the promotion, he was quite impressive in the NXT, which is the developmental territory of WWE, and he also won the NXT Championship 2 times. Soon after his main roster debut in 2021, he was released from WWE due to budget cut issues, and remained out of the promotion for one complete year.

Karrion Kross made his return in 2022 in an episode of SmackDown, and upon his return, he had a rivalry with former World Champion Drew McIntyre. He even secured a huge victory over the Scottish Warrior during this feud. It looked like Triple H brought him back to give him a proper main event push.

But things did not go fruitfully for him despite many attempts. WWE tried to build a faction around him, gave him rivalries with big names, but somehow, every attempt to revive him failed. When everybody gave up hope on him, he surprised everyone by finally reviving himself.

He started to gain fan support during the WrestleMania pre show events, and at a point, it finally looked like the long time project of WWE to push Karrion Kross as a potential top star of the future was coming real. His latest rivalry with Sami Zayn had been one of the best since his return.

However, recent reports suggest that his present WWE contract is coming to an end. When he made his return in 2022, he signed a three year contract with the promotion, which is going to expire soon, and he has not extended his contract yet. There is no confirmation on whether he would be extending his present contract or he would prefer to leave the promotion.
