Lucknow Super Giants are set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15 in IPL 2026. Ahead of this important clash, there is positive news coming from the LSG camp regarding Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan.

Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan fitness update

Tom Moody, the global director of cricket at RP-SG Group, shared a key update on both pacers just before the game, giving a timely boost to the side.

Moody highlighted that both bowlers have recovered well from long-term injuries, with the medical team putting in strong efforts over the last few months.

“The likes of Mayank and Mohsin have all had quite long-term injuries. So, our medical team worked exceptionally hard over the last few months to get them up and ready to play.”

He further indicated that Mohsin Khan is very close to returning but will need to clear one final fitness test before selection.

“They are all ready to play now. Mohsin will probably do a final test tomorrow to see whether he's available for selection.”

On Mayank Yadav, Moody explained that he was initially held back due to workload concerns but is now fully ready for match action.

“With regards to Mayank, he's also ready to go. He didn't jump into our thought processes early in the tournament purely because he was still a little bit underdone, just the bowling and the loads that any bowler needs to just feel comfortable.”

Moody also expressed confidence in Mayank’s readiness after the hard work he has put in during recovery.

“But we feel that that's come to a point where he's ready to go now. He's worked exceptionally hard.”

He also pointed out that while LSG’s bowling has been solid so far, the batting unit has not supported it enough.

“One thing that has worked well for us so far is that our bowling has been pretty solid. We just haven't really produced the runs to support that.”

The update suggests that there are very high chances of Mayank Yadav being available for the clash against RCB, while Mohsin Khan remains one step away pending a final test.

Two bowlers who made mark with exceptional skills

Mohsin has been one of the key bowlers for LSG in recent seasons, often leading the attack with his control and ability to pick wickets at crucial moments.

Mayank Yadav, known for his express pace, has impressed many by consistently touching speeds close to 150 kmph. However, injuries have been a concern in his career, with the pacer featuring in only a couple of matches last season.

Lucknow Super Giants are currently placed seventh on the points table with two wins in four matches. They are still looking to build momentum in the tournament.
