NEW DELHI: Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir welcomed the national cricket team to his Delhi home on Sunday evening for a special dinner.

The gathering came ahead of India’s T20 World Cup clash against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on February 12.

The relaxed evening gave players and support staff a chance to unwind and bond off the field. After a tough but rewarding opening match against the United States in Mumbai, the dinner helped the team recharge before another key fixture.

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla was also present alongside the team. Gambhir’s home provided a warm, informal setting for discussions, laughter, and strategy talk.

The squad’s arrival in Delhi followed their 29-run victory over the USA at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.

That win set a positive tone for India’s campaign, and the dinner offered a perfect opportunity to celebrate the start while focusing on the challenges ahead.
