Short yet impactful innings
Coming out to open the batting, Virat Kohli scored 28 runs from 18 deliveries, which included two fours and one six. His quick innings gave Royal Challengers Bengaluru early momentum and helped lay the foundation for a strong total.
He was eventually dismissed when facing a delivery from Anshul Kamboj. Attempting a big shot, Kohli ended up top edging the ball, and it went straight to Shivam Dube, who was positioned at long on.
Even though the innings was short, it played an important role in setting the tone for RCB’s batting effort. The hosts then dominated Chennai bowlers by posting 250 total, the biggest total of the season and the highest against CSK.
