NEW DELHI: USA skipper Monank Patel won the toss and chose to field in their T20 World Cup Group A clash against Pakistan on Tuesday.

“It looks like a good batting surface with a consistent breeze around. Once we know the target, it should make the chase easier,” Patel said at the toss.

Pakistan came into the contest after beating the Netherlands in their tournament opener, while the USA suffered a defeat against India in Mumbai.

Pakistan made one change, bringing in Usman Tariq for Salman Mirza, with skipper Salman Ali Agha backing Tariq as a potential match-winner and trump card.

USA rang in two changes as Ehsan Adil replaced the injured Ali Khan, while Shayan Jahangir came in for Sai, with Monank Patel stressing the need to improve in both batting and bowling against strong opposition.
