Prabhsimran Singh joins elite uncapped IPL list
Prabhsimran has now become the third uncapped Indian player to score 400 or more runs in multiple IPL seasons.
The list includes:
- Prabhsimran Singh – 549 runs in 2025, 439 runs in 2026*
- Suryakumar Yadav – 400+ runs in 2018, 2019 and 2020
- Abhishek Sharma – 400+ runs in 2022 and 2024
Prabhsimran continues fine run
When Punjab reached the final of IPL 2025, Prabhsimran played a major role with 549 runs in 17 matches, incluing four half centuries.
This season too, he has been among the side’s most consistent performers. In 12 games, the opener has already scored 439 runs at an average of 43.90, including five half-centuries.
Prabhsimran has been one of the finest top-order batters in the tournament and has often given Punjab the strong starts they needed.
Another fifty against Mumbai Indians
In the crucial game against Mumbai Indians in Dharamsala, Prabhsimran once again played a sensational knock at the top.
Opening the innings, he scored 57 runs in 32 deliveries, smashing six fours and four sixes to provide a flying start. He also stitched a 50-run opening stand with Priyansh Arya and put Mumbai bowlers under pressure early.
Meanwhile, after Azamatullah Omarzai and lower order's valuable contribution power PBKS to 200 for 8 in 20 overs. Now, it's upon bowlers to deliver and get back on winning ways.
PBKS eye turnaround after sudden collapse
Punjab have seen a dramatic turnaround in their campaign. After winning strongly in the first phase of the season, they lost the next four matches and slipped into a difficult position.
