Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have finally put an end to all the chatter surrounding the post match visuals involving owner Sanjiv Goenka, skipper Rishabh Pant and head coach Justin Langer after their loss to Delhi Capitals.
Social media buzz after defeat
Following the six-wicket defeat at Ekana Cricket Stadium, a short clip of Goenka having an animated conversation with Pant and Langer went viral. Fans were quick to react, many assuming there was tension within the camp.
The visuals even reminded some of the much talked about interaction between Goenka and KL Rahul during IPL 2024, adding more fuel to the speculation.
Pant’s serious expression in the moment only made things worse, with social media drawing its own conclusions.
Sanjiv Goenka and Rishabh Pant interaction in the video
Amid all the noise, Lucknow Super Giants decided to respond in their own way. The franchise shared a behind the scenes video from the ground, showing a much calmer and composed interaction between the individuals involved.

The clip features Sanjiv Goenka, Rishabh Pant, Justin Langer and other members of the support staff engaged in what appears to be a normal post-match discussion, far from the heated exchange that many had assumed.
Along with the video, LSG dropped a caption that directly addressed the situation and the online speculation.
“Not everything you see is the true story, here’s the unfiltered post-match vibes, when cameras don’t cut.”
The message made it clear that the earlier visuals did not reflect the full picture, and that the conversation was being misinterpreted.
While the loss to Delhi Capitals was a setback, LSG would be keen to move on quickly. Their next clash is on April 5 against Sunrisers Hyderabad away from home.
