Mumbai’s stand-in captain Siddhesh Lad once again played a commanding innings. Following centuries against Hyderabad and Delhi, Lad guided Mumbai from early trouble, when the top order had managed just 17 runs collectively. Partnering with Musheer Khan, who also scored a fifty, Lad remained unbeaten on 102, giving Mumbai a 45-run first-innings lead over Delhi with five wickets in hand.
Bengal’s Akash Deep and Shahbaz Ahmed tore through Haryana’s batting lineup in Rohtak, claiming all 10 wickets in the first innings and bundling out the hosts for just 100. Bengal finished the day at 134/3, enjoying a 227-run lead.
In Nagpur, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Shivam Mavi starred for Uttar Pradesh, dismantling Vidarbha with a sensational seven-wicket haul. UP now need a win to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive, with Mavi claiming the wickets of Vidarbha’s top five and finishing with figures that could prove decisive.
