NEW DELHI: Ishan Kishan continued his sublime run in the domestic circuit with a breathtaking century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final against Haryana in Pune.

Opening the batting, Kishan tore into the Haryana attack with a blistering 101 off just 49 balls. His innings was laced with six fours and ten towering sixes as he dominated the powerplay and never let the bowlers settle.

The explosive knock was a timely reminder to the Indian selectors, with Kishan having been out of the national setup for a while. His intent, range and confidence stood out on the biggest stage of the tournament.

Kishan found strong support at the other end as Jharkhand piled on the runs. Kumar Kushagra played a superb hand with 81 off 38 balls, while Anukul Roy added a fluent unbeaten 40. Robin Minz provided the late flourish with 31 not out from just 14 deliveries.

Jharkhand finished with a massive 262 for 3, completely overpowering Haryana’s bowling unit. It was a tough day for the bowlers as they were taken to the cleaners on a flat surface.

Anshul Kamboj, Sumit Kumar and Samant Jakhar picked up a wicket each, but the pace and precision of Jharkhand’s batting proved too much to contain.
