IPL Auction | Complete Players List & Team Purchases
The IPL 2026 Auction date has been announced by BCCI and it will take place in Abu Dhabi on 16th December. Cricket fans are very excited to see the ipl auction live for the mega event of IPL 2026 which is expected to start from the last week of March 2026. There will be jam packed cricket matches live in India, where the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will also start from February 2026. Let’s have a look at the ipl auction 2025 before the live auction starts.
Top Buys in IPL Auction 2025
The LSG captain and explosive WK batsman Rishabh Pant was sold at the highest price of 27 cr in IPL 2025. Middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer was sold for 26.75 cr to Punjab Kings. Left handed batting all rounder Venkatesh Iyer was sold to KKR at 23.75 cr. Yuzvendra Chahal & Arshdeep Singh are two other names in this list, both of them were sold to PBKS at the price of 18 cr. English wicket keeper batsman Jos Buttler and KL Rahul are among the other names in the list who were sold at 15.75 cr and 14 cr respectively to Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals. While this list contains some other big names both from India and overseas, some of them are Jofra Archer from England, Josh Hazlewood from Australia and Trent Boult from New Zealand.
IPL 2025 Retained Players List
There are several big names in the IPL 2025 Retained Players list starting with the batting legend Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal from RCB, who were retained at 21, 11 and 5 cr respectively. KKR retained 5 players in ipl auction 2025, and Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine are those exciting names among them. Skipper MS Dhoni, all rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad are among the top players, retained by CSK. Whereas spin duo Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav were retained by Delhi capitals. Like many other seasons, Mumbai Indians retained the veteran fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, captain Rohit Sharma & Suryakumar Yadav.
Aus skipper Pat Cummins, the explosive WK batsman Heinrich Klaasen and the opener Travis Head were retained by SRH in IPL 2025 auction. Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi from LSG and Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan are among the exciting names in the retained players list of IPL 2025 auction. Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson are among the ipl auction 2026 players list who were traded by Rajasthan Royals and CSK in exchange.
