Many cricket fans were left scratching their heads when the playing XI for the 4th T20I against New Zealand was announced in Visakhapatnam. The biggest surprise was the absence of Ishan Kishan, the wicket-keeper batsman who had just set the stage on fire. After his explosive Player of the Match performance in the 2nd T20I, where he smashed a brilliant 76 runs, everyone expected him to be one of the first names on the team sheet.

However, there is no need for panic. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav cleared the air at the toss, explaining the real reason behind Kishan’s absence. It wasn't a tactical "drop" due to bad form; rather, the young star picked up a "niggle" during the previous match. With the series already in the bag, the team management decided to take a cautious approach and rest him to prevent any serious injury.
To fill the gap, pacer Arshdeep Singh was brought back into the starting XI as India looked to test their bowling depth. So, while it’s disappointing not to see Ishan Kishan’s fireworks today, fans can rest easy knowing this is just a short break to keep him fresh and fit for the bigger battles ahead. He should be back in action very soon!
