After earlier reports circulated on social media claiming that Punjab Kings had asked Arshdeep Singh to stop making vlogs and Instagram reels during the ongoing IPL 2026 season, a latest news has now emerged on the situation.

As per a report by Cricbuzz, PBKS have not officially instructed Arshdeep to completely stop posting content on his social media handles. Instead, the franchise is expected to communicate the recently issued BCCI advisory to all players and support staff during an internal meeting in Dharamsala.

PBKS to brief players regarding new BCCI advisory

Punjab Kings are set to hold a meeting with the squad after their practice session at the HPCA Stadium. The franchise management will brief players about the updated guidelines issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding social media activity and content sharing during the tournament.

The management is also expected to take written confirmation from players regarding compliance with the new instructions moving forward.

Arshdeep Singh, who enjoys massive popularity on Instagram with millions of followers, has regularly shared vlogs and behind-the-scenes moments from tours and team activities. His light-hearted videos and dressing room interactions have often received huge engagement from fans across social media platforms.

Vlogging culture has grown massively among modern-day cricketers in recent years as supporters enjoy getting access to off-field moments, travel clips and candid interactions between players.

Even during India’s international tours, Arshdeep Singh has remained quite active with social media content and has built a strong fan following because of it.

Social media controversy around Arshdeep Singh’s vlog

Recently, one of Arshdeep Singh’s vlogs also sparked controversy online after visuals from inside the Punjab Kings team flight went viral on social media.

In the video, Yuzvendra Chahal was allegedly seen vaping inside the aircraft, which quickly triggered discussions and criticism online. The clip raised serious questions among fans on social media regarding player conduct and discipline during team travel.

Why BCCI issued strict advisory during IPL 2026

Earlier, the BCCI had issued a strict advisory after concerns were raised over reels being recorded in restricted areas, player outings without security approvals and increasing interaction with social media influencers during IPL 2026.

The Anti-Corruption Unit had also flagged unauthorised guests in hotel rooms of players and team officials while warning franchises about possible honey-trap situations. Following this, the board introduced stricter rules regarding guest access and instructed players to keep security teams informed about their movements.
