NEW DELHI: Cricket fans could not believe their eyes at what they were witnessing from Abhishek Sharma in the ICC T20 World Cup.
The left hander, who looked absolutely unstoppable with his blistering hitting ability just a couple of weeks ago, is now struggling to even score on the global stage. The same batter who once dominated attacks with fearless stroke play now looks short of confidence and rhythm.
The nightmare continued in the India vs Netherlands clash as Abhishek Sharma registered his third duck of the tournament. Once again, he was cleaned up.

After Suryakumar Yadav elected to bat first against the Netherlands, expectations were high from Abhishek. The batting friendly surface looked good and it seemed like the perfect opportunity for him to get back among the runs. However, he could not get going.
Aryan Dutt bowled one that was pushed through and skidded on with the new ball. Abhishek thought it was short enough to play the pull and went for the shot. But the ball was quicker than he expected. It sneaked past his bat and made a mess of the stumps.
