BCCI has released its comprehensive India domestic schedule for the 2026-27 season, covering men's and women's cricket across all age groups and formats.
The season will feature a staggering 1,788 matches in total a number that reflects the sheer scale of Indian cricket's domestic pipeline and the board's commitment to providing competitive cricket for players at every level of the system.
Schedule has been designed by BCCI to give emerging talent meaningful preparation time before international assignments and carries one particularly exciting announcement, the reinstatement of the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy Winners vs Rest of India fixture for the first time in several years.
India's 2026-27 domestic season announced by BCCI
Duleep Trophy and Irani Cup
2026-27 domestic season gets underway with the Duleep Trophy, which will be played from August 23 to September 10 at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, the world-class facility that has become the primary hub for elite domestic cricket preparation in India.
Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy Winners vs Rest of India fixture follows from October 1 to 4, and the BCCI's statement specifically highlighted this reinstatement as an effort to provide an enhanced competitive platform for emerging Under-23 cricketers. Srinagar will then host the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5, continuing the tradition of the prestigious curtain-raising first-class fixture between the Ranji Trophy champions and Rest of India.

The Ranji Trophy: Groups, Schedule and Format as per BCCI
Centrepiece of the domestic season as always is the Ranji Trophy, with the Elite division's first phase getting underway on October 11 and running until November 5. The second phase runs from January 17 to February 4 with the knockouts scheduled between February 9 and March 3. The Plate division's second phase concludes earlier on January 20 with the final from January 24 to 28.
The Elite division is split into four groups, Elite A featuring J&K, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Baroda, Uttar Pradesh, Pondicherry, Goa and Bihar; Elite B with Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Saurashtra, Chhattisgarh, Hyderabad, Tripura, Punjab and Assam;
Elite C comprising Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Services, Gujarat, Kerala, Delhi and Odisha; and Elite D with Uttarakhand, Haryana, Mumbai, Railways, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. The Plate division features Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

T20 and One-Day tournaments in India across the season
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite league stage will be hosted across Mumbai, Vizag, Kolkata and Mohali from November 14 to 26, with knockouts in Nagpur from November 30 to December 6. The Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite, the primary one-day competition that feeds directly into India's ODI selection conversations, will be hosted across Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Ranchi and Rajkot from December 14 to 29, with knockouts in Vizag from January 2 to 8.
In a notable structural change, the BCCI has converted both the Men's Under-23 State A Trophy and the Vizzy Trophy from one-day competitions to T20 tournaments a move that reflects the growing emphasis on T20 skills development at the sub-senior level and brings these competitions in line with the format demands of modern professional cricket.

Women's cricket and the full calendar by BCCI
Women's domestic programme is equally packed. The Senior Women's T20 Trophy Elite will be played from October 26 to November 6 across Lucknow, Pune, Delhi and Mohali, with knockouts in Ahmedabad from November 14 to 20. The Women's One Day Trophy Elite runs from December 19 to 31 across Cuttack, Jaipur, Baroda and Raipur, with knockouts in Chennai from January 4 to 10.
Cooch Behar Trophy Elite knockouts will be held in Bengaluru and Mysuru from January 3 to 30. Across all formats, age groups and both men's and women's cricket, the 1,788 matches scheduled for 2026-27 represent one of the most comprehensive domestic seasons BCCI has ever put together.
