The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 once again found itself in a fresh vaping controversy after Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was allegedly spotted vaping inside a flight during the ongoing season.

The video, which has now gone viral across social media platforms, triggered massive reactions from fans while also raising concerns regarding flight safety and onboard security protocols.

The clip surfaced from one of PBKS pacer Arshdeep Singh’s YouTube vlogs. Although Chahal appeared to be discreet during the act, social media users quickly spotted the moment before clips and screenshots started circulating widely online.

Several users also claimed that the original vlog was later edited and trimmed after the incident began attracting attention online.

Many users questioned how a vape device was allowed onboard the flight in the first place. Several fans raised concerns regarding airline safety norms while others criticised Chahal for allegedly using a vape during the journey.

Riyan Parag’s earlier dressing room vaping controversy

Meanwhile, this is not the first vaping-related controversy to emerge during IPL 2026. A couple of weeks ago, Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag was also spotted vaping inside the dressing room during the RR vs PBKS clash.

The footage quickly went viral across social media and triggered strong reactions from fans as well as discussions surrounding player conduct during the tournament.

BCCI took disciplinary action against Parag. The Rajasthan Royals skipper was handed a 25 percent fine of his match fee along with one demerit point after the dressing room vaping footage went viral on social media.

Now with Yuzvendra Chahal’s vaping video from inside a flight making headlines, IPL 2026 has once again landed in controversy over another vaping-related incident.
