Legendary Virat Kohli was seen in the RCB dugout getting ready for the game. In a video shared by Star Sports on X shown Kohli stopping to watch Urvil Patel’s batting on television.

Holding an energy drink bottle in his hand, Kohli stood there watching the innings unfold as the young CSK batter took apart the LSG bowling attack.

Urvil smashes joint-fastest IPL fifty

Chasing a challenging target of 204 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Urvil Patel arrived at number three and changed the game completely.

The youngster went all guns blazing and smashed the bowlers from the very beginning. Urvil brought up his fifty in just 13 deliveries which made it the joint-fastest half-century in IPL history alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal.

He eventually scored 65 runs off 23 deliveries and played a massive role in CSK’s successful chase. His innings included two fours and eight sixes and a strike rate of over 282.

Despite a few late hiccups, Chennai held their nerve and completed a comfortable five-wicket victory in the final over. The win marked CSK’s third consecutive victory and kept their playoff hopes alive in IPL 2026.

The victory also helped Chennai strengthen their position on the points table after a difficult phase earlier in the tournament.

RCB eye comeback against MI

Meanwhile, the focus shifted to the massive RCB vs MI clash at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.
