Strong start lays the platform

India’s innings began on a solid note as the batters showed intent right from the start. Young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again struck a blistering half-century, scoring 52 runs off just 30 deliveries. His knock included four fours and four sixes, putting immediate pressure on the Zimbabwe bowlers.

Wicketkeeper Abhijyan Kundu played an important role in building the total. He scored 61 runs from 62 deliveries and showed maturity at the crease while rotating the strike efficiently.

Kundu added a crucial 113-run partnership with Vihan, a stand that laid the foundation for India’s big score and ensured there were no collapses in the middle phase.

Towards the end, Khillan Patel provided the finishing touches. He took the bowlers on during the death overs, scoring 30 runs from just 12 deliveries. His late burst piled pressure on the Zimbabwean bowling line-up and pushed India to a commanding total.

Zimbabwe bowlers pick up wickets

Despite the heavy scoring, Zimbabwe had some bright moments with the ball. Tenta Chimagoro led the effort with three wickets. Panesha Mazai and Simbarbasha Mogadazeno supported him well, picking up two wickets each, but India’s batting depth proved too strong on the day.
