Hardik on batting and momentum
In the post match presentation, Hardik said he trusted his shots on a wicket that had a bit of bite. He explained that timing mattered more than brute force and that being bold at the right moments helped him shift the momentum.
“I had to back my shots. The wicket had some spice so you had to be a little gutsy. It was more about timing the ball not trying to break it. I was very satisfied with the way I was batting.”
Fitness and the grind
He then spoke about the work behind the scenes and how the past few months shaped this comeback.
“The last six or seven months have been amazing from a fitness point. These last 50 days away from loved ones at the NCA making sure everything is covered felt tough but very satisfying when the results show.”
Hardik on mindset and team first approach
Hardik stressed that his role never bothered him as long as he served the team.
“It doesn’t matter what Hardik Pandya wants it matters what India wants. Some days are good some aren’t but the mindset stays the same. I’ve always tried to put the team first the nation first.”
