T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav was spotted losing his temper during the fourth T20I, despite India gaining a 2-1 lead in the T20I series against Australia. Usually, Suryakumar Yadav, who is known for his calm and composure, lost his temper at his teammate Shivam Dube after gifting an easy boundary to Marcus Stoinis.

The incident took place after the final delivery of the 12th over when Dube bowled a short ball to Stoinis, allowing the new batter to free his arms and drive it for a four over backward point. This ended a streak of three disciplined deliveries from the medium pacer, who had earlier conceded a six to Tim David off the second ball before dismissing the dangerous batter on the next delivery.

Shivam Dube followed up with a couple of dot balls during a crucial phase, as India had set Australia a target of 168 to chase. Frustrated with the way the previous delivery had gone, Surya was seen shouting at Dube on the field. The over concluded with Dube picking up an important wicket but conceding 11 runs, leaving Australia at 95/4 in 12 overs, needing 73 runs from 48 balls.

The hosts were eventually bowled out for 119 in 18.2 overs with Washington Sundar taking three wickets in eight deliveries while Axar Patel and Shivam Dube finished with two wickets each. India won the contest by 48 runs to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

With the opening match of the series being washed out due to rain, India now have an unbeatable lead going into the final match of their white-ball tour of Australia.

“167 on this ground is definitely a good score because the quality bowling we have, the spinners, the fast bowlers…I trust them and the whole team trust our bowlers," Dube told reporters after the match.

“Definitely it’s a T20 game and any of the batter can come and smack but on this ground where the side boundaries are big, we had planned it very nicely and we had confidence that we can stop them," he added.
