Kolkata Knight Riders Preview
Kolkata Knight Riders failed to register a win in their first six matches this season, but remain in contention for the playoffs after winning two back-to-back games.
Ajinkya Rahane's side was hit with injuries before the start of the season, and that reflected in their results. However, they have managed to improve significantly in their last two games, beating in-form RR at home and recording a thrilling super over win against LSG in Lucknow.
With 5 points in eight matches, KKR sit 8th in the points table. They can still qualify for the playoffs by winning their remaining six matches, but need a much-improved performance to tackle in-form SRH today.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview
Sunrisers Hyderabad kicked off their IPL 2026 campaign with just one win in their first four games, but made a solid comeback by winning the last five matches in a row.
Captain Pat Cummins' return in their last game helped SRH chase down a 244-run target against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. Abhishek Sharma's form at the top and Heinrich Klaasen's mature knocks in the middle keep both stars in the Orange Cap contention. Travis Head's fiery knock against MI further boosted SRH's batting power, but Ishan Kishan's recent struggles with the bat are becoming a worry.
With the ball, Pat Cummins' return to the bowling attack has been a big boost to the team's crucial games ahead. Eshan Malinga has been brilliant with an old ball and is battling for the Purple Cap this season. SRH will eye another all-round performance against KKR today and take a step towards early playoff qualification.
