Abhishek, who is only in contention for T20Is, could be available for a longer stretch of the tournament.
The high-profile Mumbai vs Punjab clash in Jaipur is scheduled for January 8, by which time both Mumbai’s Rohit Sharma and Punjab’s Gill are expected to be unavailable.
