South African all-rounder Senuran Muthusamy has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October 2025, following his standout performances during South Africa’s Test series against Pakistan. The 31-year-old outshone fellow nominees Noman Ali of Pakistan and Rashid Khan of Afghanistan to claim the prestigious honour.
Muthusamy was instrumental in South Africa’s 1–1 series draw in Pakistan, earning the Player of the Series award for his all-round excellence in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Reflecting on the recognition, the left-arm spinner expressed pride in being part of South Africa’s World Test Championship-winning side earlier this year.
“It feels great to be named Player of the Month by the ICC,” Muthusamy said. “Playing for a team that won the WTC this year is a matter of great pride.”
The all-rounder’s performances were central to South Africa’s fightback. In the opening Test in Lahore, he claimed five-wicket hauls in both innings, including a career-best 6/87, to finish with match figures of 11/174. In the second Test in Rawalpindi, he struck an unbeaten 89 to guide his team to an eight-wicket win, helping level the series.
