NEW DELHI: Team India's caravan moved to Thiruvananthapuram for the fifth and last T20I of the series against New Zealand - the hometown of wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson. The spotlight remains on the local star, who has struggled to make an impact in the series so far and has faced criticism from all quarters.
Away from his struggles on the field, Samson had a hilarious moment upon the team's arrival at the airport, as captain Suryakumar Yadav playfully took on the role of his personal security.

In a video shared by the BCCI on social media, Surya was seen jokingly clearing the way for Samson, saying, "Make way, make way please, don't disturb chetta, no photos." Samson said it always feels great to land in his hometown, but this time it felt extra special.
The fun continued as Surya kept up his playful banter while the team made their way to the bus, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Pressure mounts on Samson
With only 40 runs across his last four matches in the New Zealand series and Ishan Kishan impressing at No. 3, Samson's spot in India's T20 World Cup squad is now facing intense scrutiny.
Over his last five T20I innings, Samson's highest score remains 37, which he made against South Africa in December last year.
