GT opener has turned consistency into his biggest strength
Sudharsan has been making headlines consistently over the last few seasons with his remarkable batting maturity. Opening the innings, he has shown the rare ability to stay calm under pressure, rotate strike and shift gears when required.
That balance has made him one of the most dependable top-order batters in the league. Whether setting up a total or anchoring a chase, Sudharsan has delivered repeatedly for GT.
Back in IPL 2025, Sudharsan enjoyed his breakthrough season, when he scored 729 runs with a strike rate of 156 and maintained an average of over 54, numbers that established him among the best batters in the competition.
That season was seen as his coming-of-age campaign, and he has only grown stronger since then.
One of the key reasons behind Gujarat Titans’ rise
One of the major reasons behind GT’s consistent runs over the last few seasons has been Sudharsan’s reliability at the top.
While the side has experience batters and class bowlers, his ability to absorb pressure and build the innings has often laid the foundation. With the playoffs approaching, his form could once again prove crucial as Gujarat Titans push for their second IPL title.
