NEW DELHI: Ishan Kishan lit up the Greenfield International Stadium in Trivandrum with a blistering century. The left-hander came out and tore into the New Zealand bowling attack from the first ball. He looked in sublime touch, hitting sixes for fun and dominating every over he faced.
Kishan brought up his century in just 42 balls, marking the seventh fastest in all T20Is and the fifth fastest by an Indian. His innings continued with the same intensity, finishing at 103 runs off 43 deliveries. The knock included six fours and 10 massive sixes, giving him a mind-boggling strike rate of nearly 340.

Just after completing the century, Kishan went for another big shot but was caught in the deep mid-wicket region by Glenn Phillips. The dismissal brought an end to a spectacular display of power hitting.
Dominant series performance
Kishan finished the T20I series with 215 runs despite missing one game. He averaged 53.75, but what made his presence truly exceptional was the strike rate at which he scored, consistently over 230.
Returning to the Indian side after a long absence, Kishan made huge statements with the bat and is expected to be a major factor in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
