Mumbai Indians stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and opted to bowl first against Punjab Kings Indian Premier League (IPL) clash in Dharamsala.
Mumbai have once again been forced to make leadership changes, with Bumrah captaining the side in the absence of Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. Hardik continues to recover from a back spasm, while Suryakumar has opted out for personal reasons after recently becoming a father.
The five-time champions made one change to the playing XI as Allah Ghazanfar misses out from the side.
Punjab, meanwhile, rang in massive changes ahead of the contest. Harpreet Brar, Xavier Bartlett and Azmatullah Omarzai all come into the playing XI as the hosts look to strengthen their combination for the key fixture. Meanwhile, Marcus Stoinis, Ben Dwarshuis and Yash Thakur miss out.

PBKS vs MI: Captains at the toss
Jasprit Bumrah said captaining Mumbai was a special moment for him, especially after joining the franchise as a teenager. The stand-in skipper said he is embracing the responsibility and looking at it as a fresh challenge.
"I came here as a 19-year-old. I didn't think that I'll be a Test captain before I'll captain Mumbai Indians. But this is a fun place to be. You look after everyone and you want to contribute in whatever way possible. So, I like responsibility. This is a new challenge. I'll look to have fun."
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer said the surface remained difficult to read and stressed that Punjab must focus on the present instead of dwelling on recent setbacks.
"And you still don't know how the wicket is going to play, so still be positive and optimistic. See, it's of cardinal importance that we stop thinking about what's gone wrong and how we've played throughout the season."
