MI vs SRH: Captains take at the toss
Hardik Pandya said the team focused on resetting mentally after a tough run and keeping things simple heading into this game.
“We felt it was important to reset as a group and not overcomplicate things. We spent some good time together, had a few relaxed evenings and followed it up with solid practice sessions. It was about ticking the right boxes and refreshing ourselves. The boys are feeling good now and excited for the game.”
Pat Cummins pointed out that the surface might have a bit of tackiness early on and stressed the importance of adapting without overthinking.
“It looks like there could be a bit of tackiness in the wicket, so we are happy to bowl first. You have to reset your expectations every game. It is usually a high-scoring venue, but the key is to focus on execution and not overthink things.”
