Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have unveiled a new logo ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League season, describing it as a symbol that reflects the spirit of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and the franchise’s loyal fan base.

In an official statement, the franchise said the redesigned emblem is more than just a visual update. “Not just a new design. Not just a new look. But a symbol that carries the spirit of this city, this state, and every fan who has stood by the team from the very beginning,” the statement read.

The new logo brings together three key symbols: Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant, each representing a facet of Uttar Pradesh’s identity.

According to the franchise, Garuda signifies courage and the ambition to rise above challenges, mirroring the fearless brand of cricket the Super Giants aim to play. The Crown represents pride and responsibility, reminding the team of the honour of carrying the hopes of millions each time they step onto the field.

At the centre of the emblem stands the Elephant, symbolising strength, wisdom, patience and unity, qualities the franchise associates with its supporters and the region’s enduring loyalty.

Shashwat Goenka, owner of Lucknow Super Giants and Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, called the new logo an emotional milestone for the franchise.

“This symbol is a tribute to the love and belief shown by the people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh. Garuda reflects our dreams to rise higher. The Crown reflects the pride you place on us every time we take the field. And the Elephant reflects the strength and loyalty that defines this region,” Goenka said.

In the previous IPL season, LSG finished seventh under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, registering six wins and eight losses to end with 12 points.
