KL Rahul produced a vital century for Karnataka against Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy 2025–26 quarterfinal at the MCA-BKC Ground in Mumbai on Monday, February 9. The experienced batter reached three figures off 147 deliveries, striking 13 boundaries as Karnataka chased a target of 325.
The hundred marked Rahul’s 24th century in first-class cricket and underlined his importance at the top of the order in a high-pressure knockout clash.
Rahul brought up the milestone in understated fashion, turning Tanush Kotian around the corner for a boundary. He offered only a brief raise of the bat towards the dressing room before quickly refocusing on the task at hand.

He had returned to the Karnataka Ranji side in the final group-stage match against Punjab, where he registered a first-innings half-century. In the quarterfinal, Rahul had earlier scored 28 in the first innings before chipping Mohit Avasthi to cover, with Karnataka conceding a 53-run first-innings lead.
Karnataka are now pushing for a place in the semifinals, where they will host Uttarakhand in Bengaluru if they manage to progress.
