The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is around the corner, and preparations are now in full swing as India Women are set to tour South Africa Women for a five-match T20I series starting from April 17. Two strong sides with some of the biggest names in world cricket will be up against each other in what promises to be an exciting contest.

Talking about the visitors first, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India have been quite clinical in the last couple of years. They are coming into this series high on confidence after a 2-1 series win against Australia in February. The team has already tasted success in the ODI format and now they will be aiming to repeat that in the shortest format as well.

South Africa Women, on the other hand, will be led by Laura Wolvaardt, who is in sublime touch. They will be looking to start fresh and go one step further after falling short in the previous T20 World Cup final. The hosts had a tough outing in their last series and will be eager to bounce back and regain their rhythm.

The responsibility will be on senior players like Nadine de Klerk and Ayabonga Khaka to step up and guide the side. With home conditions in their favour, South Africa Women will look to put up a strong fight.
