ICC T20 World Cup Points Table

ICC has announced the T20 World Cup 2026 schedule and the matches will start from 7th February 2026. 20 teams are competing in this year’s world cup like the previous edition and they are placed in 4 groups. The t20 world cup points table will be updated once the match starts. The points table of the t20 world cup shows the exact positions of each team and their performances in recent seasons.

T20 World Cup Points Table 2024:

The 2024 T20 world cup points table is identical with the present edition only the teams are different in each group. Winning teams will be awarded +2 points and losing teams will get -2 for each match. The net run rate will be calculated as usual like the ICC events. Top 2 teams from each group will play the super 8 stage, the next stage of the tournament. Both teams will get 1 point each if the match gets washed out. NRR will be the crucial factor to determine the qualification in super 8 from each group when the points will be the same for two teams.

The 2024 t20 wc points table shows that India and Pakistan were in the same group like this year and qualified for the super 8 stage from Group A. Like many other ICC events, Australia has usually qualified to the Super 8 stage by winning all their group stage matches along with England who won 2 matches out of 4.

T20 champions West Indies qualified to the next stage of ICC World Cup 2024 alongside Afghanistan who defeated mighty New Zealand in their group stage games. South Africa and Bangladesh qualified from Group C in Super 8. Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka in the group stage match by 2 wickets to earn the ticket of the Super 8.

In the Super 8 stage of t20 world cup table 2024, South Africa, England, West Indies and USA were placed in a group. On the other hand India, Afghanistan,  Australia and Bangladesh were in the other group.

India and Afghanistan qualified for the semi final stage from group 1 and South Africa and England are the other two teams who reached the same spot. India defeated South Africa in the final of ICC T20 WC 2024 with an iconic finish in the tournament.
