Brook smashed a breathtaking 100 off just 51 deliveries, striking 10 fours and four sixes, as England chased down Pakistan’s 164 for 9 with five balls to spare. With the win, England became the first team to confirm their place in the last four.
Will Jacks chipped in with a crucial 28, sharing an important stand with Brook to steady the chase after early hiccups.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the standout performer with figures of 4 for 30, while Usman Tariq claimed 2 for 31, but their efforts were not enough to stop England’s charge.
Earlier, Pakistan posted 164 for 9 after opting to bat first. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with a fluent 63 off 45 balls, while Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman contributed 25 runs each.
England’s bowlers shared the spoils, with Liam Dawson returning 3 for 24, Jamie Overton picking up 2 for 26, and Jofra Archer finishing with 2 for 32.
