Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first against Gujarat Titans in their crucial IPL 2026 clash at Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday.
The winner of this contest will climb to the top of the points table, making it one of the biggest clashes in the business end of the league stage.
SRH have gone unchanged for the clash with the side sticking to the same combination after their brilliant run in recent matches. Meanwhile, all-rounder Harsh Dubey misses out again.
Their top order has been firing consistently and the management has shown faith in the winning combination.
GT have also retained the same playing XI. They have made a significant comeback this season, winning their last four matches and looking like a formidable side heading into this crucial clash.

GT vs SRH: Captains take at toss
Pat Cummins said reading pitches in Ahmedabad has not been straightforward but stressed that SRH were prepared for a high-pressure game at this stage of the tournament.
“No one can really read pitches perfectly. But this is a crucial game and it's an intense time of the tournament.”
When asked whether the clash felt like a knockout before the playoffs, Cummins said SRH had earned the cushion to approach it as another opportunity.
“I mean, no, not really. I think we've kind of earned the right to give ourselves a few chances and make that final.”
Shubman Gill said GT were also looking to bowl first but felt the pitch looked better for batting than it had in recent matches at the venue.
“I mean, we're going to see about that. I'm not the one about stats and all these things, but we were also looking to bowl first. But this looks like a better wicket than we have had in the past couple of matches on this particular wicket.”
