Two debutants, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, ran through the Rajasthan Royals batting lineup as Sunrisers Hyderabad secured an impressive 57-run victory at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Ishan Kishan leads the charge after early breakthrough

After being invited to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a poor start as Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on the very first delivery of the innings.

However, skipper Ishan Kishan came out at number three and took responsibility on his shoulders. He kept charging with intent and controlled the innings brilliantly. Travis Head did not look comfortable at all and departed for 18 runs off 18 deliveries.

But Ishan Kishan played a fantastic knock of 91 runs off 44 deliveries, falling just short of a well-deserved century.

Heinrich Klaasen also contributed well with 40 runs off 26 deliveries, while the finishing touch came from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Salil Arora, who ensured Sunrisers Hyderabad reached a competitive total of 216 for 6 in 20 overs.

Jofra Archer impresses but others leak runs

Jofra Archer impressed once again with two wickets, while Nandre Burger bowled economically, conceding only 31 runs in four overs without a wicket.

However, the rest of the bowlers were expensive and struggled to contain the Sunrisers Hyderabad batting lineup.

Praful Hinge strikes early to break top order

Coming out to bat, the target looked well within reach, but Praful Hinge, making his debut, had other plans.

The right arm speedster started the very first over with three wickets, completely dismantling the dangerous top order of Rajasthan Royals.

Then Sakib Hussain joined the attack and removed Yashasvi Jaiswal, continuing the pressure.

The collapse worsened further when Riyan Parag was dismissed shortly after.

Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira fightback

Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira put up a strong fight with a 118-run partnership. Donovan Ferreira scored 69 runs off 44 deliveries, while Ravindra Jadeja made 45 runs, although he never looked completely fluent in striking the ball.

Despite their efforts, the chase never truly recovered.

Tushar Deshpande added a late spark with 25 runs off 11 deliveries, but it was not enough as Rajasthan Royals suffered their first defeat of the season.

It was a two bowler show as Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain took four wickets each and completely dismantled the Rajasthan Royals batting lineup with pace, control, and relentless pressure.
