Royal Challengers Bengaluru continued their sublime run in IPL 2026 with another dominant win over Lucknow Super Giants. The side outplayed LSG in all departments and climbed to the top of the points table with a comfortable five-wicket victory at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Rasikh Salam Dar leads clinical bowling effort

After winning the toss, RCB invited LSG to bat first and their bowlers delivered a clinical performance from the start. LSG never really found momentum and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Aiden Markram once again fell cheaply, while Rishabh Pant, who had earlier taken a blow on the elbow, managed just 1 run before getting out. Nicholas Pooran also failed to make an impact as LSG slipped early.

LSG eventually posted a below par total of 146 runs after being bowled out in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh top scored with 40, while Ayush Badoni and Mukul Choudhary chipped in with useful contributions. The rest of the batting lineup struggled to get going.

It was a complete bowling effort from RCB. Rasikh Salam Dar was the standout performer with four wickets, dismantling the LSG batting order.

He was well supported by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who picked up three wickets, while Krunal Pandya chipped in with two. The bowlers never allowed LSG to settle at any stage.

Virat Kohli anchors an easy chase

In reply, RCB looked in control right from the start and chased down the target comfortably in 15.1 overs.

Phil Salt fell early, but Virat Kohli once again stepped up with a fluent 49 off 34 balls.

Skipper Rajat Patidar added a quick 27, while Jitesh Sharma played an aggressive knock of 23. Tim

For LSG, it was always going to be difficult to defend such a small total. The bowlers tried but did not have enough runs on the board.

Prince Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Avesh Khan picked up two.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru rise to top

With this win, RCB have now climbed to the top of the points table with four wins in five games and a very healthy run rate. They are looking well settled and confident as the tournament progresses.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants remain in the seventh position and are still searching for form and consistency. The side has struggled in both batting and overall balance, and they will need to find answers quickly if they want to stay in the race this season.
