Malwa Stallions revealed their lineup in the latest cricket news for the coming Aditya Birla Group Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup - Ashutosh Sharma leads it, known for his hard-hitting ability. Instead of relying on veterans, they’re banking on the young batter to step up when games get tight. With him onboard, expectations quietly shift, even if nobody says it aloud.
Out front, some familiar faces bring know-how built over the years. Younger players step in beside them, adding fresh energy where it counts. This blend shapes up as the Stallions prepare for tough matches ahead. The leaders see strength in how these pieces fit; timing, grit, and new voices are all part of the rhythm. Success might just come from that mix holding firm when pressure rises.

From her spot on the Malwa Stallions roster, Megha Rajak, backed by SR Delight, sounded sure about how the group has shaped up so far. Though new faces arrived, practice runs tightened their rhythm into something steady.
"We are pleased with the squad we have put together. It has a great blend of experienced players and talented young cricketers who are eager to prove themselves. There is a lot of energy and enthusiasm in the group, and the players are excited to play positive, fearless and aggressive cricket this season," Rajak said.
Not far off, she pointed out how the Madhya Pradesh League matters more now for young cricket players chasing their shot. "The MPL has become an excellent platform for players to showcase their talent, gain valuable experience and take their game to the next level. We are looking forward to the tournament and are confident of putting together a strong campaign for our fans," she added.
Out of the gate, Malwa Stallions kick off MPL 2026 on June 4 when they face Chambal Ghariyals. The clash happens midday under clear skies at Holkar Stadium, Indore’s most storied ground. Though new names rise each season, this matchup carries quiet weight. The weather might hold steady, yet tension builds regardless. Fans arrive early, drawn by history more than headlines. Play begins once officials give the nod. Not every start grabs attention, but this one likely will.
Starting June 3, the new Madhya Pradesh League T20 Scindia Cup kicks off when Gwalior Cheetahs face Ujjain Falcons in the first men's game.
We can expect more squads than ever before when MPL 2026 kicks off. Ten male lineups will take the field, while female athletes get space through five dedicated sides. The size of the event climbs higher compared to past years. Room grows for both divisions under the new setup. Numbers shift upward across the board this time around.

Among those stepping onto the field this time are Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles - fresh faces in a lineup that still holds last year’s winners, the Bhopal Leopards. Alongside them stand Bundelkhand Bulls, Chambal Ghariyals, Gwalior Cheetahs, Indore Pink Panthers, Jabalpur Royal Lions, and Rewa Jaguars. Eight returning sides keep the core intact while three newcomers shift the balance slightly. The mix feels different now, though familiar names remain at its heart.
Now part of the lineup are Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles, joining the women's event. Alongside them stand Bhopal Wolves, already set to play. Bundelkhand Bulls bring their presence too. Five teams fill the bracket, including Chambal Ghariyals, who round out the group.
