NEW DELHI: Actor Anupam Kher recently enjoyed a delightful surprise after a chance encounter with former India captain Rohit Sharma. The unexpected meeting clearly left Kher thrilled.

Sharing the moment on Instagram on Wednesday, Kher posted pictures with Rohit and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, with the trio seen smiling as they posed together.

Kher revealed that the meeting happened at a shoot location lined with several vanity vans. While searching for his own, he accidentally stepped into the wrong one and found Rohit and Ritika inside. What could have been an awkward mix-up instead turned into a warm and memorable interaction.

Alongside the pictures, the Marathon Man actor shared a heartfelt message in which he described Rohit as his "favourite cricketer," lauding not only his achievements on the field but also his character off it.

He highlighted Rohit's calm demeanour, honesty and authenticity, noting that he remains the same person whether or not he is in front of the camera. He added that Rohit never attempts to build a larger-than-life image around himself and is refreshingly consistent in both his public and private life.

"The GREATEST #RohitSharma! My favourite cricketer and his beautiful and hugely supportive wife #Ritika. I love Rohit! Of course for his brilliance as an amazing player.
