Abhishek had missed the previous match due to a stomach infection and was hospitalised, but he was discharged on Wednesday.

At the toss against Namibia, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav had mentioned that Abhishek might sit out a game or two before returning to full fitness. In his absence, Sanju Samson partnered Ishan Kishan at the top of the order.
