Later last year, WWE introduced a proper mid card division for women with two new Championship titles in the forms of women's Intercontinental Championship and women's United States Championship, one title for each of their main roster brands. Both of the championships had been managed so far to promote the mid cards.

The WWE Women's United States Championship has been exclusive to SmackDown so far, and the fans have seen three different Champions already. Chelsea Green was the inaugural champion who won a tournament to win the Championship. Zelina Vega was the second champion who was beaten by Giulia, who became the third champion.

Presently, the title is being held by Chelsea green who became the first ever two times WWE Women's US Champion. Zelina Vega, who had been the second WWE Women's United States Champion, recently talked about the need for the introduction of these two titles. Speaking on the “Babyfaces Podcast” recently, she explained the following;

Zelina Vega is a former WWE Women's United States champion

“I think it’s amazing. I think it’s something that we really needed. Especially for the women that don’t always get a shot at the World Championship. So it’s something that shows the people who are also working hard, not just in the world title picture, but we’re also getting recognized for the things that we’re doing, too. And that doesn’t mean that we’re not going to get to that eventually or when our time comes. It just means that we have something else to fight for, and to show how hard we’re all working and not just them.

"So I thought it was really important, it’s just recognizing the other workers there. Which I think is really important. And for me, getting to bring that title to my family and being able to say like, ‘I finally did this for me’? It’s nice.” save the formal WWE women's United States champion Zelina Vega.

Among the two women's mid card titles of the main roster of WWE, the IC Championship has been booked much better so far. It felt more competitive as soon as Becky Lynch entered the frame. Maxxine Dupri is presently holding the title, and it is going to be interesting to see how she carries the legacy. The booking of the US title, on the other hand, has been quite questionable so far. We hope things improve soon.
