Celebrities working as professional wrestlers is not a new thing. The culture started way back in the 80s and professional wrestling promotion kept on doing it for earning extra viewers. One of the earliest examples of such was Laurence Taylor featuring on the main event of WrestleMania XI against Bam Bam Bigelow.

One of the most infamous examples of celebrities working in wrestling was David Arquette winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, which is considered one of the biggest reasons behind the death of WCW. There are hundreds of more examples of celebrities working as professional wrestlers, but Logan Paul has to be the most entertaining and successful of them all.

Other outside celebrities like Bad Bunny, Johnny Knoxville, and Jelly Roll has also worked in WWE ring recently, and did a fairly decent job. WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently share his feelings on outside celebrities working as professional wrestlers. While attending an interview with Videogamer, the Tag Team Legend said the following;

Summerslam 2025 Jelly Role Logan Paul

Jelly Roll is one of the latest celebrities to work in WWE who wrestled at SummerSlam 2025

"The stuff I've seen, I think he's a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him. Someone who had no experience in doing what we do here, and he's picked it up, he's absorbed it like a sponge. My hat goes off to him."

"It's definitely a crossover. Their fanbase with ours ... Let's just say like Carl Malone, you know, when he went to WCW with Dennis Rodman. That crossover with the NBA, especially the NBA at that time. So you get somebody who's hot, like Bad Bunny, it's big, it's a crossover. People who wouldn't normally watch wrestling are watching it because of those guys. They're helping to put bums on seats and get ratings up."
