WWE Wrestlepalooza had a really impressive match card, but ultimately, the event could not live up to its potential. A large number of fans already started talking about the excellent match card of the event, which resembled a big event like WrestleMania or SummerSlam. But ultimately, the matches were quite disappointing and, most importantly, really predictable.
However, according to reports from Bodyslam, at least two matches had different plans that were scrapped. John Cena was scheduled to beat Brock Lesnar in reality, which did not happen, and Cody Rhodes was planned to drop the Championship as Randy Orton would have cost him the title accidentally.

Wrestlepalooza had different plans in reality that never happened
“Sources indicate that as of Saturday morning, John Cena was scheduled to defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestlePalooza. Sources also indicate that both Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre pitched Randy Orton accidentally costing Rhodes the WWE Title.” wrote Bodyslam, regarding the planned finishes of Wrestlepalooza.
John Cena was supposed to defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza
Honestly, there is nothing really special about John Cena vs Brock Lesnar since both of the wrestlers are established stars and both of them are slowly heading towards their retirements. So it did not really matter who won this match, as Bubba Ray Dudley said that no torch was getting passed in this match.

Randy Orton was planned to accidentally cost Cody Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Drew McIntyre was supposed to win the title
But the big talking point could have been Drew McIntyre shocking the entire world by defeating Cody Rhodes and winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. If Randy Orton unintentionally cost Cody his championship, it could have been an excellent build up for a much awaited future feud between these two.
But unfortunately, WWE went for a boring and predictable finish at the mentioned event, and now it looks like Cody Rhodes is not going to drop the Championship at least before WrestleMania 42. The pattern remains the exact same, and things are getting more and more predictable day after day.
