He was running a faction named The Vision, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed being the members of it. He also had a huge boost when he won the Money in the Bank ladder match.
At Summerslam, he cashed in the contract successfully on CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship. He was having a wonderful time with the World Heavyweight Championship, and he was successfully retaining the Championship every time he was defending it. His rivalry with CM Punk was also climbing to the peak.

At the Crown Jewel event, Rollins faced his old rival Cody Rhodes, who is the current Undisputed WWE Champion for the Crown Jewel Championship. Rollins was victorious in this match, but unfortunately, he suffered a shoulder injury, which forced him to go out of action, and he was also forced to vacate his World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE had really big plans for him prior to his injury, but unfortunately, it does not look like he will be able to return to action before Mania 42, and he may even miss the event. Recent reports from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggest that he was supposed to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42;

“Seth Rollins was tentatively scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. I don’t know this, but I have been told enough things to where I expected that there would be a turn on Seth Rollins at some point because the whole thing with this faction was not about Seth Rollins, it was about Bron Breakker, and about making Bron Breakker into the next Roman Reigns. Now, how they would do that, I wasn’t told that.”
Rollins can always continue his big Run as soon as he returns to WWE, and if he misses his big match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, it can be expected that this big match gets booked for WrestleMania 43. Roman Reigns, on the other hand, may face either Cody Rhodes or CM Punk at WrestleMania 42.
