WWE Evolution is a revolutionary concept in terms of special events, as it is the only event of the promotion where only women wrestle. That is right, the whole card of the event is dominated by women only, and no men have ever been allowed. Originally, the idea was pitched back in 2018, and the first WWE Evolution event was organised in the mentioned year.

The promotion took 7 long years to bring back the second Evolution event, and ultimately it took place in July of this year. It featured an action packed card with all the biggest names in the women's division in action, including some of the legends like Trish Stratus, who was also a part of the first ever Evolution event back in 2018.

Why Trish Stratus did not want to take part in Evolution 2

In the first Evolution event, Trish Stratus teamed up with Lita to take on the team of Mickie James and Alicia Fox. But recently, she revealed that she did not want to be a part of the second event of Evolution early this July, and she also made the Revelation why she did not want to be a part of it. Speaking with Bill Apter recently, she said the following;

Trish Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's title at Evolution 2

“I did Elimination Chamber; my mom got diagnosed right after that. You get this terrible news, and then you spend a month of, like, seeing specialists and doctors. You are in this, like, holding-your-breath phase for, like, a month, where you are doing all these tests and then get the final, ‘Okay, this is what it is.’ Then you go and see all these doctors for another month to be, like, ‘What can we do about it?’

It remained her final appearance in WWE so far

"Somehow, Evolution comes up. I remember they proposed to me to fight Tiffany Stratton for the championship belt. Evolution, headlining this amazing pay-per-view, which they finally brought back. Fans were waiting for, I think, seven years. Remember when it first happened, everyone was like, ‘Oh, look at this annual event,’ and then it never happened."

At Evolution 2, Trish Stratus challenged Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship in a losing effort. Despite her defeat, her performance was widely praised by the fans and the critics. After this defeat and Evolution 2, she has not shown up as of now. But the fans can expect her to keep on making sporadic appearances.
