Randy Orton is indeed one of the biggest stars of WWE, who has been a 14 times WWE World Champion. He was scheduled to have a huge match with his long time rival Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41. The match followed an excellent storyline, which made things even more exciting.

But unfortunately, a neck injury forced Kevin Owens out of action, and he also missed this match. Presently, it is doubtful that he would ever be able to come back to action again. With Owens getting sidelined by this injury, Randy Orton had no wrestler to face at WrestleMania 41. He then demanded a WrestleMania opponent, and he was desperate to have one.

In this match, Hendry was not only beaten by Orton but nearly humiliated. The majority of the fans were not happy with the way WWE treated him. But former two times NXT Champion Karrion Kross thinks otherwise, as he claimed it was the right call. Speaking with Ariel Helwani recently, he explained;

Randy Orton Joe Hendry

"It was only ever something that was tracking online. No one at any point ever said 'You were in the running,'" Kross explained. The former Final Testament member would love the opportunity to wrestle Randy Orton, however. "Randy's one of the greatest of all time and as badly as I want to be in the ring with him, I'd never be so condescending to go up to them and be like 'How about me?'"

"Yes...For one, I'm very proud of Joe. He's been ready to go in the capacity that he's in and people have stared a hole through the guy like he doesn't even exist, and that's brutal. Like as a human being, when that's happening...For everything that show needed, it was the right call."
