WrestleMania XIX is still considered one of the best WrestleMania events ever, and it is also believed to be one of the most underrated WrestleMania shows of all time. Hulk Hogan vs Vince McMahon was one of the biggest attractions of this event, which had a lot of talking points.
It was not one of the best worked matches of the card when there were top matches like Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle, but the best part of this match was the drama surrounding it. The storyline behind this match was one of the best of the year 2003.

The hype behind this match was really amazing, and despite the card being so stacked with top stars like Shawn Michaels and Triple H being in action, this match was also sold pretty well. WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently remembered this match while speaking on his “83 Weeks” podcast and revealed the drama surrounding it.
Hulk Hogan vs Vince McMahon from WrestleMania XIX was a Street Fight
Here is what Bischoff had to say about everything that went on surrounding this match: “I remember it. I was there. Uh, yeah. I was entertained by it. I had an idea of what to expect. I didn’t talk to Hulk about it. I didn’t hear how it was going to be laid out, or what the finish was going to be, or anything like that.

This was Hulk Hogan's last ever WrestleMania match
"But he was pretty lighthearted about it. He wasn’t concerned about it, so I knew it was probably going to be something that was physically within his boundaries, and things that he’d be able to do safely and look good doing it. So [I] kind of knew what to expect. I was anxious to see Vince play out his character, because he was crazy in a good way. I liked it.”
Later, it was reported that Vince McMahon moved the World Tag Team Championship match which consisted wrestling legend Kane, so that his match with Hulk Hogan could have had a longer booking time. This match and rivalry are not much remembered to this date, but it was a really big deal back then and the fans loved it.
