John Cena is closing in on his retirement, and he is presently going through his retirement tour. He had an excellent retirement tour as he won the record breaking 17th World title reign during this run, he also had his first run as a heel in over two decades, and he also featured on the main event of WrestleMania 41.
But surprisingly, John Cena was completely destroyed by Brock Lesnar at the previous WWE premium live event, Wrestlepalooza. Nobody understood the reason behind this squashing. Why Brock Lesnar was attacking John Cena was also never explained. The match faced a lot of criticism from fans and pundits, too.
Why Brock Lesnar manhandled John Cena at Wrestlepalooza
Professional wrestling legend Konnan recently talked about this match and explained the possibilities of Lesnar manhandling Cena. He said that all the setup was done so that Lesnar could job to Bron Breakker. Speaking on his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast recently, former WCW World Television Champion explained the following;

“I don’t understand, if they’re not going to have a rematch, why he beat him so convincingly? Didn’t we see this 10 years ago when he did all those suplexes on him and all that?” Said the famous Cuban American professional wrestler who has worked in major professional wrestling promotions.
John Cena will have his final match in December 13
He continued; “I mean, I think the second time, if you saw both and does he do anything besides F5s and suplexes, can we get a match out of him? I thought maybe that we’re going to have a rematch in Boston, but from what I’m [hearing] ’cause I thought, ‘Okay, this is a great setup for Boston, his last match,’ but I’m reading it isn’t. They’re setting him [Lesnar] up for Bron Breaker and WrestleMania. But you don’t just — I don’t think you got to destroy John Cena to do that.”
Cena only has four appearances left on his contract with WWE, and he is a wrestler. His final match his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event show that is scheduled for December 13. The majority of the fans are convinced that he really did not need to job to Brock Lesnar like this just to uplift another talent.
