Bobby Lashley was presented as the main event star during his second run in WWE, which lasted date for around six years. “I told Bobby when we were still at WWE, I was the one that said, ‘Let’s not re-sign,’ because Shelton had been released. I said, ‘Don’t re-sign. I’m not going to re-sign. Let’s get together, get Shelton and go to AEW.’ he continued, “It took a little convincing and Bobby came on board and Tony has been gracious enough to let us get the band back together and continue.”

Lashley had a tremendous run in WWE after winning the WWE World Championship in 2021. He defended the tidal successfully at WrestleMania 37 against Drew McIntyre. At the Royal Rumble event of 2022, he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the second time.
Even at the end of his WWE spell in 2024, his big push was not sacrificed. But after his contract expired in 2024, they decided to leave the promotion and join AEW. He has been active in this promotion for more than a year, and he had only been promoted to the Tag Team wrestler along with Shelton Benjamin. He stands as a one time AEW Tag Team Champion.
