The Undertaker is often considered one of the biggest stars in the history of professional wrestling, who has kept on amazing the fans for over three decades. He debuted his Undertaker character in 1990, and from the first day of joining WWE, Vince McMahon wanted to put him as one of the top stars of the promotion.
The Dead Man is remembered among the WWE Universe for a lot of things, like providing amazing matches and winning Championships. The most important thing that the fans remembered about him is the undefeated streak at WrestleMania, which continued for over two decades. Call started from as early as a wrestling career, and it continued until 2014.

What were the original plans about the Undertaker?
But it is said that Vince McMahon had many other plans for the Undertaker that could never be executed. The Dead Man recently appeared on the “Nightcap” podcast, where he talked about the original plans that Vince McMahon had for him. Here is what the WWE Hall of Famer has to say about it;
The Undertaker made his WWE debut back in 1990
“That name was given to me by Vince. He had envisioned in his mind this character. Basically, he needed a big guy with very limited personality. It was something that resonated with me. Everything was on these big storyboards, and I’m in his office, and he’s showing me this, and immediately my brain is like — I knew. I didn’t know what it was going to become, but I knew it was different, and I knew it was special. I was like, ‘This is pretty cool.’”

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2022
“I mean, I see a lot of people that are coming up that have potential to be stars. Now, whether their characters are similar to mine, I guess the closest within the past few years, obviously, was Bray Wyatt; we lost him last year, but he was in that category of Undertaker-esque. I don’t know that anybody’s really honed in there, but we have a lot of young talent coming up, and they’ll probably be debuting really soon, because the machine, again, you’ve got to keep it fresh.”
The Undertaker had his final match at WrestleMania 36 against AJ Styles, and he was never seen wrestling in a ring again. Presently, he is 60 years old and we cannot expect him to continue wrestling at this age. He will always be remembered as one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling and also as the face of WWE for a long time.
